FAQs
Q: Where is the wedding?
A: Maui, Hawaii
Q: Why are you having a destination wedding?
A: We both enjoy travelling; it is one of our favorite things to do. And we wanted our wedding to be representative of us and our relationship. We intend for you to consider this as a vacation for yourself as well. Feel free to arrive earlier, depart later, and even explore other nearby destinations while you are here!
Q: Are children allowed?
A: Yes! We have allotted each family a seat(s) for their child(ren), if you choose to bring them. If there are any discrepancies, please feel free to contact us. We simply ask that you provide their age when you RSVP so we may arrange some age-appropriate activities for them.
Q: How do I RSVP?
A: You can RSVP once you receive your invitation. It will have detailed instructions to guide you. If you are still having trouble, please contact us.
Q: When is the RSVP deadline?
A: December 27, 2026
Q: What if I miss the RSVP deadline?
A: We will be contacting everyone who has not RSVP’d by the deadline so we can confirm headcounts. Unfortunately, after the deadline passes, we will not be able to accommodate any late entries.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Our wedding dress code is cocktail attire. Here are a couple examples.
Q: When should I start booking flights and hotels?
A: We advise you to start keeping track of flight and hotel prices when you receive your invitation. The most ideal time to book is 3-6 months prior to departure. We have recommendations for flights and hotels in the "Travel" section.
Q: Where should I stay?
A: We have provided options in the "Travel" section. We recommend utilizing our hotel room blocks because the closest city is approximately 2 hours away.
Q: What day should I arrive and leave?
A: We highly suggest you treat this as a vacation and stay as long as you can.
But if you are coming just for the wedding, we recommend you arrive on May 25th and leave on May 28th so you can attend the Welcome Dinner and Farewell brunch. Please check out our "Events" section for more details.
Q: What if I have food allergies/diet restrictions?
A: Please let us know your food allergies & preferences when you RSVP so that we may accommodate.
Q: Is there an open bar?
A: Yes, there will be an open bar. Please take advantage (responsibly).
Q: Should I bring a gift?
A: We understand that attending a destination wedding is a huge ask, so your presence is more than enough!
However, if you're feeling generous, we kindly request that you contribute to our "Honeymoon Fund".
Q: I would love to attend, but I am unable to get this time off/cannot afford to attend.
A: No worries! We understand attending a destination wedding is a big commitment that requires a lot of planning. And we would still like to celebrate with you. If you are able to, we would love for you to attend our engagement party on January 16, 2027. It will be held locally. Please see the "Events" section for more details.
